Adaptive Learning Assignment allows instructors to support the varying needs of their corequisite composition students by providing them with a learning experience that adapts to each learner’s unique needs.
* McGraw Hill offers adaptive learning assignments that cover reading and writing skills for corequisite sections and others that complement first-year composition skills.
Power of Process’ scaffolded approach guides students through the critical reading process, providing them with a framework to strengthen reading and critical thinking skills.
Power of Process’ interactive and engaging format allows students to apply strategies and respond to texts through both guided written responses or by highlighting and annotating directly within the piece. Instructors can choose from our provided bank of over 100 engaging and relevant readings at a variety of reading levels, upload their own documents, or assign students to upload readings or documents.
Within our composition products, we have made a commitment to providing a minimum of 50% of readings in each product being written by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) authors.
Writing Assignment enables students to improve their written communication skills. This tool provides built-in writing feedback and learning resources to help students during the writing process, including a built-in originality checker aimed to help students avoid plagiarism. Instructors can set up assignments to require a peer review, and instructors can easily provide feedback during the draft, peer review, and final submission stages.
