Spotlight on Music has been completely transformed to meet your needs and help you deliver quality instruction in a 21st Century way. Stories to Perform give younger students opportunities to perform on instruments while building literacy skills. In partnership with Music Theatre International (MTI), Music Studio offers the best tools to share the magic of musical theatre with your students. From School House Rock, to Music Man, to How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, only Music Studio provides authentic Broadway musicals for your music classroom or staged performance.
Choral Music
Starting in Grade 3, Spotlight on Music offers choral music with highlighted parts. The curriculum is designed to give you tools to prepare your students for ensemble singing in middle and high school.
Print and Digital Tools in Spotlight on Music
Print Anthologies
The Song Anthologies bring your favorite pieces from across the program to your students with easy-to-read notation and lyrics at every grade level and organized in alphabetical order. Now the most impressive library available lives online and on your bookshelf.
iSong: Interactive Song Player
The Interactive Song (iSong) Player gives you complete control over the music you share with your students. Using this interface, you can change the tempo, jump to a new section, isolate voicings or the accompaniment, and even change the key. We’ve taken our song library to the next level.
Interactive Listening Maps
Listen with your eyes! Students will love learning more about important pieces from the canon with these striking, interactive listening maps. The maps are incredibly varied to keep things interesting. Many listening maps include games, some are designed to help you teach movement.
