Overview

The Three-Course Model of California Inspire Science High School meets your needs by including all high school performance expectations within California Inspire Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Each high school program integrates and highlights the nature of Earth and Space Sciences as an interdisciplinary pursuit.

Within each program, students will:

  • Learn the Disciplinary Core Ideas through interactive Earth and Space Science content found online
  • Employ the Science and Engineering Practices through The Applying Practices
  • Demonstrate their understanding of the full Performance Expectations through the STEM Unit Projects

California Inspire Biology

California Inspire Biology provides an in-depth, collaborative, and project-based learning experience focused on the science of biology. The program covers ecology, cell biology, genetics, the history of biological diversity, the diversity of life, and the human body, as well as cross-curricular earth science topics.


California Inspire Chemistry

California Inspire Chemistry provides an in-depth, collaborative, and project-based learning experience focused on the science of chemistry. The program covers structure and properties of matter, chemical bonding and reactions, matter, energy, and equilibrium, and organic and nuclear chemistry, as well as cross-curricular earth science topics.


California Inspire Physics

California Inspire Physics provides an in-depth, collaborative, and project-based learning experience focused on the science of physics. The program covers mechanics in one dimension, mechanics in two dimensions, momentum and energy, waves and light, electricity and magnetism, and subatomic physics, as well as cross-curricular earth science topics.
