Glencoe Chemistry: Matter and Change is a comprehensive chemistry course of study designed for a first-year high school chemistry curriculum. The program incorporates features for strong math support and problem-solving development. The content has been reviewed for accuracy and significant enhancements have been made to provide a variety of interactive student- and teacher-driven technology support.
Support your students with an extensive number of Example/Practice Problems sets. The Math Handbook and Supplemental Practice Problems further support students’ review and extended practice for mastery of key chemistry concepts.
Promote strong inquiry learning with a variety of in-text lab options, including Discovery Labs, MiniLabs, Problem-Solving Labs, and ChemLabs (large-scale and small-scale), in addition to forensics, probeware, small-scale, and lab manuals.
Provide simple, inexpensive, safe chemistry activities with Try at Home labs. Unique to Glencoe, these labs are safe enough to be completed outside the classroom and are referenced in the appropriate chapters.
Link students directly to the appropriate Glencoe Web site resources with the Chemistry: Matter and Change URL (chemistrymc.com). Resources include updated links and additional standardized test practice.
Help a broad range of students to effectively understand the lesson’s main ideas and effectively take notes in their own words with the exclusive Science Notebook, an interactive student guide.
