Q: The end of the academic term is rapidly approaching, and I’ve got names showing up in my ALEKS course of students that dropped the course at my institution earlier in the semester. These students are incorrectly influencing average scores in my gradebook, as well as other reporting metrics. I will need to finalize my grades soon—how do I make these rogue student accounts go away?

Miller Wright
We’re pulling back the curtain and shining a spotlight on some of our talented ALEKS team members that work hard to support you. This month, we are excited to introduce you to Miller Wright!
Q: What is your role on the ALEKS team?
A: ALEKS Implementation Manager
Q: How many years have you been with the ALEKS team?
A: I've been with ALEKS for around 7 years now!
Q: Tell us more about yourself and how you support our instructors and their students?
A: When I started in 2017, I was on the math Quality Control team. I became a project manager in 2020, and finally I joined the Implementation team in 2023. My time in the different roles has given me a well-rounded perspective of what ALEKS can do (and the work our developers must do to get it ready!) One thing I want my users to be aware of is that they can lean on me for detailed help with accessibility in their courses! I wrote the figure descriptions for much of the content within the Miller books (no relation), and I have many hours of first-hand experience with JAWS. Accessibility is so important; when I have the opportunity to work with students who need it, I make sure to go all out!
